DVSN FINDS THEIR MUSE

Are thinking about rekindling with your ex? Do you have issues with vulnerability? Are you sick of unrequited love? dvsn has yet another solution to get you further in your feelings. On April 17th, the Toronto based duo (producer Nineteen85 & vocalist Daniel Daley) released their latest effort, “A Muse In Her Feelings”. Can we agree that our fellow Canadians know how to pull our heartstrings? (Drake, The Weeknd & PARTYNEXTDOOR) As we enter into a new decade, one may argue that R&B transitioned from admiration to distrust and angst.

With tracks such as “Courtside” featuring Jessie Reyez, the group makes it pretty clear that consistency is the key to any budding relationship. The initial single “A Muse” is a sample and reworking of Lonnie Liston’s “A Garden of Peace” and Jay-Z’s “Dead Presidents”. The track “For Us” gives the listener a nostalgic R&B sound that we don’t hear that often.

I must admit I enjoyed listening to this album as each track seamlessly transitions to the next. If you don’t want to get in your feelings after listening to this album, I suggest you hold back the tears.
